Outlook – Scheduling assistant “No information available”

Imagine you’re trying to plan a fun, exciting meeting with a colleague, but when you go to schedule it, you’re met with a frustrating message: “no information is available.” That’s exactly what happened to one user, who we’ll call “User A,” when they tried to schedule a meeting with another user, “User B.”

User A was able to see calendar information for all other colleagues without a problem, but for some strange reason, User B’s calendar information was not accessible. The funny thing is, other colleagues had no trouble seeing User B’s calendar information.

At first, User A thought there might be some strange permissions on User B’s calendar, but after a little digging, they found the real culprit: which was to delete user B, from user A’s auto complete address book. Once that was done the issue has gone away.

So, if you’re ever in a similar situation and can’t schedule a meeting with a colleague, don’t panic! Just check to make sure that colleague is in your global address book and if not, add them. And, if you still face the problem, try deleting the colleague from your auto complete address book.

In the end, User A was able to schedule the meeting, and it was a blast! They hope this information helps someone else too, so that they too can plan fun, exciting meetings with their colleagues.
